Lion’s Cub

Dear Readers,

When a lion has a baby, she holds her and protects her. She loves her cub with her whole heart, and her aim is to keep her baby safe.

In a chaotic world, it’s beautiful to have someone in life who always has your best interest at heart. Who always looks out for you.

People come and go, but your mother stays.

I used to wrap my arms around my mom and didn’t want her to leave me at school or camp. I wanted to hold her hand in the city. I felt safe with her. Just her presence brought me ease.

Humans crave that. We crave safety and connection.

As life goes on, you learn to appreciate how special the mother-child bond is. There is a human that can care about you sometimes more than she cares about herself.

I am reflecting how important it is to be grateful for your mother.

Through your highs and lows, ups and downs, twists and turns. Your challenges, mistakes, grievances, hardship.

She helps you along the way.

When you are down, she helps pull you up. When you are lost, she helps you find your way.

And not only would the journey not be the same without her; it simply wouldn’t be.

If you have the chance, say thank you to mom.

Thank you for being my biggest fan and always staying by my side. Thank you for your endless love and support.

If there is one thing to be grateful for, it is your mother. For a mother’s love is like no other.
