Stay
Dear Readers,
Birds can often sense when a storm is approaching. They are sensitive to pressure changes in the atmosphere.
As humans, we too have strong instincts about potential upcoming events, emotions, thoughts, and feelings. We can sense when change might be coming, when an important event will occur, and/or when we feel something impactful.
Sometimes, when we feel that something will impact us and carry weight, we become afraid. We wonder if we have the strength to carry the heaviness.
It is as if fear emerges when we begin to care. When we begin to feel an impact.
We are uncertain how the future will unfold, and we may fear that we will be hurt.
Some birds may fly in the other direction when they feel storms approaching. They change their path because they don’t want to feel the rain on their feathers. The winds are too strong, and the rain is too heavy for them.
Other birds may seek shelter temporarily, but they won’t leave. They care about their home and their nest. It is not their time to migrate.
They bare the storm and wait for it to pass. In time, the sun emerges. They continue to stand on their land and the sun shines again.
They didn’t fly away. They chose to stay.
Birds handle incoming storms differently. So do we.
Some people leave when they become afraid. Others bare the storm.
People who can carry the weight will stay. Those who want to hold the heaviness will stay, because they’re strong, and they care.
Observe those who fly away, and remember those who stay.
Love,
Samantha
