Sky Tantrum

Dear Readers,

Yesterday, I was walking home and it began pouring rain. My hair and skin dripped and my shoes felt heavy as they stepped in puddles.

Some moments, the rain poured with high intensity, and then it calmed for brief moments, and then poured heavily again.

I took a moment to stand under a covering of a building, waiting for the rain to pass.

The water came down so heavily, it felt like the sky was crying and throwing a tantrum.

Over time, as I continued my walk, the rain began to slow down. My shoes felt a little less heavy as they stepped in fewer puddles.

Sometimes, we go through moments or phases of high intensity. Intense emotions. Thoughts. Behaviors. Experiences. Reactions.

The rain comes crashing down and it feels like it won’t stop.

But storms always past. Just like our tears, the sky doesn’t cry forever.

This too shall pass.

Moments of high intensity are often temporary. The good and the bad.

So, if you feel the rain pouring strongly, appreciate this potent moment knowing that it will fade. The rain on your skin will dry.

Sometimes, you simply have to let the dust settle and wait for the storm to pass.

Love,

Samantha
